Founder/Accountant
Trena began her career path at Okanagan College for her Business degree with an Accounting designation. In 2016 Trena started up Capital Accounting & Bookkeeping Corporation and has grown her business to include numerous clients from proprietorships, corporate level and non-profit clients. She has hired qualified bookkeepers to contribute their gifts to the endeavor.
Trena has over 15 years of experience in finance and provides a clean, efficient, and high detailed quality to her bookkeeping. She understands business budgeting, financial statements and payroll.
When Trena is not immersed in her accounts…oh who are we kidding, Trena is always immersed in bookkeeping. 😊 Actually you might see her at the gym, paddle boarding on Okanagan Lake or spending precious time with her two granddaughters.

Bookkeeper/Office Manager
Paul is a Bookkeeper and the Office Manager at Capital Accounting & Bookkeeping Corporation. Originally from Wollongong, Australia, he began his accounting career in 2020 as an accounting assistant for a Vancouver-based non-profit. In 2023, Paul completed his Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting from the University of South Australia before joining the CABO team in early 2024. With experience working in both non-profit organizations and corporations, he is currently expanding his knowledge in personal tax through further education.
Outside of the office, Paul enjoys exploring the many hiking trails and breweries of the Okanagan, as well as hunting for records to add to his collection.

Bookkeeper
Cathie was born and raised in the Lower Mainland where she began her career performing administrative and accounts receivable duties. She spent most of her early years employed with a distribution organization working as an Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator. Gifted in numbers she pursued a bookkeeping certification over 30 years ago. She followed that with a Business Management Certification bringing her career into her role of operations manager at an extended care company. She has become a valuable asset to Capital Accounting & Bookkeeping Corporation with her experience in all aspects of business management and budgeting.
Cathie has recently settled in Kelowna with a summer home on the Shuswap. When she is not behind her desk you’ll find her with her grandchildren, paddle boarding on the Shuswap lake or buried in a good book.

Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer
Carol is a Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper with Capital Accounting & Bookkeeping Corporation. After 30 years in public service, she decided to pursue her true passion and transitioned into a second career in bookkeeping. In addition to her bookkeeping expertise, Carol has several years of experience in personal income tax returns and stays current with the latest government regulations and changes.
Whether managing books or assisting with tax returns, her goal is to ensure the process is as seamless and stress-free as possible.
Outside of work, Carol enjoys gardening, reading, practicing Pilates, baking, and occasionally knitting Christmas stockings for her children’s dog.

Bookkeeper
Shayla is a Bookkeeper at Capital Accounting & Bookkeeping Corporation with seven years of experience. She has worked with construction companies and corporations and is currently expanding her knowledge in personal tax and gaining experience with Non-Profit Organizations.
A lifelong resident of the Okanagan, Shayla enjoys exploring the region’s many wineries and hiking spots in her spare time.

Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper
Tristen is an Administrative Assistant and Junior Bookkeeper. She takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly while contributing to the team’s success.
Outside of work, Tristen is a proud mom to her energetic six-year-old son, who keeps her on her toes. When she has some downtime, she enjoys diving into a good book, expressing her creativity through painting, or going on adventures to explore new places. She believes in balancing hard work with fun and making the most of every day.
Tristen is taking a step back from her role at CABO Accounting to pursue further education and continue her professional growth. We’re proud of her dedication and can’t wait to welcome her back to the office in June 2026!
